Cactus in Music

Rediscovering Harmony

A few nights each week, people who enter Cactus discover a warm musical ambiance. The peer helper/animator greets them with a smile and the sound of a guitar or accordion. He invites them to pick-up the instruments laid on the table: maracas, tambourine, bells, spoons, guitars even a synthesizer. Beside the pleasure of playing, these jams allow Cactus visitors to create bonds of solidarity by mobilizing their energies around a common creation in music.

These rendezvous create animation at Cactus’ permanent site and offer a way of expressing themselves freely to those willing to take the risk of reconnecting with the musical universe. Besides providing a peaceful break, this activity generates numerous positive results.
